FIRE D'ANTONI, FIRE WALSH, FIRE EVERYONE
EXCEPT THE HOTDOG VENDORS! SO MUCH FOR THE
TRADES TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS?
WE'D BE A 4 SEED IF WE DIDN'T BLOW UP THE TEAM
AND LET MARBURY PLAY!

Well

If losing in a humiliating blow out to the worst team in the league is an improvement over losing in a humiliating blow out to the best team in the league is an improvement then the [ ]'antoni playoff gravy train is on its way!

Good to see the site up & available, even if one of my posts got "lost" after it was showing up in the sidebar. Maybe it got "kay-deed" by 'Admin'? LOL!

Admin, why stop at 4-seed with your wild theories? Why not claim multiple championships, an NBA dynasty? You're so full of it. Zach & Craw are awful defensive players, seasoned vets who are well stuck in their ways after multiple coaches and multiple teams.

Zach went to the Clips and they bottomed out into the worst team in the league...despite having Baron Davis. Thankfully, Z-Bo didn't Stallworth anyone with his Rolls Royce in Gotham, although he is having some troubles in La-La land now.

Jamal went to the Warriors and they also crashed in the standings while the coach has publicly BEGGED Crawford to opt out of his contract and go away.

Marbury is shooting 31% for the Celtics, and averaging over SIXTEEN turnovers per 40 minutes as he tries to morph into a facilitator.

This trio wasn't going to win shyte in a Knicks uniform or anywhere else. Walsh saying he made these moves to make the playoffs was just his relatively classy way of saying those guys are goddawful players that he was happy & proud to have made disappear for a corpse and a fugazy with limited cap figures.

4-seed - HAH! Your lips must be chapped as hell, put down the pipe bruh.

Gallinari's surgery was "successful." Here's hoping he, at the very least, will be able to maximize his potential despite the back surgery so early in his career. I am sure it will be great to play without the pain on impingement on a nerve.

Still, without the back surgery, I don't see Gallinari as a savior for this team. Undoubtedly, next year will be his true rookie season as he tries to get into basketball shape before he adds significant bulk and weight to his body. I wonder what the back surgery and subsequently the body building process will do to his shooting the next couple of years.

It's hard to tell and you can't discount the kids will to excel. Certainly, Gallinari will need to make certain adjustments to compensate for the body changes; good shooting isn't all about a pretty stroke, form or technique. It is also partly about repetition, confidence and shot selection. A Knicks fan would hope that Gallinari emulates a Tiger Woods in the way the champion golfer has adjusted his mechanics according to changes in his body.

Even with his shooting abilities in tack, he was never going to be the great player that Knicks fans are dreaming him to be. He has too much going against him including D'Antoni as a coach.

His growth should be a fun storyline to follow the next couple of years.

The marketing executives who migrated from the NBA Secaucus offices to MSG had a little more success than Stern's presidential implant, Walsh.

The Knicks were unable to totally change the image of incompetence, in large part because management remained incompetent. The mishandling of the Marbury effected the Knicks in many ways on and off the court. Still the Knicks and the NBA attempted to build some star power in New York by promoting Nate Robinson as the face of the Knicks.

It seems that Nate's marketing rise met considerable resistance by some members of the press and the public who wished to characterize the little black man as some sort of clown. Nate is faulted for his exuberance, energy and shot selection, when he is the only Knick who can dictate the tempo of a game. He is the only Knick that is unguardable but he is faulted for everything from Gallinari's shot total to every Knicks loss where he misses a shot.

Paul, you may be right that the Knicks were going no where with Zach and Craw. Maybe. I certainly agree that Steph was going nowhere with the Knicks, but your interpretation of his stint with the Celtics does not correspond with his role with the Celtics. The voices in the Celtic locker room (and the Celtics' record with Marbury on the team) suggests that after nearly two years on the sideline he has quickly learned his role and is becoming an essential sixth man. The Celtics aren't looking or him to score, but to run the offense, give out assists and play defense. According to Rivers, Steph gets it.

Whether they beat Cleveland though, will depend on Garnett and perhaps partially on whether Steph and Rondo can slow down MoWil. But look out for Big Baby. He's not crying anymore.

Where I disagree strongly is the notion that Walsh was outright lying about his effort to make the playoffs. While it may be true that the playoffs were secondary to his desire to unload salary, Walsh clearly thought he was improving the team by moving bodies. He did not and he did a lousy job of executing a strategy that Dolan had before he came. Isiah was talking about getting under the cap before he was replaced.

But does it really make sense to bring in players who are older and less valuable than the ones you got rid of just to lose and to decrease their pitiful value. Zbo is a starter in this league and he had definitely started to perform well in D'Antoni's system. Harrington, Hughes and Duhon are reserves at best. Harrington and Hughes are on headed toward the nadir of their respective careers. Duhon has certainly increased his value from last season, but he clearly reached his performance plateau. He can sell himself as a starter for a half-court team, but his days as a Knick should be numbered. Low numbers.

Neither the Knicks nor the team Walsh worked for last year did anything notable this year. I once heard someone suggest, you are what your record says you are.

So what does that make Walsh? You know my answer.

@ Paul,
WTF? You drinking Hahnaide? Do you REMEMBER
when the Knicks were 6-3 this Year? D'Antoni
then held Crawford and Zach out of the second half of a
winable game???? Why? D'Antoni could not let the Knicks
go 7-3 ...the best start in 20 years, and then blow up
the team. I can't stand Marbury, however he should of
been given a clean slate as Walsh publicly stated.
We gave away Balkman for shit. I stand by my statement
that the Knicks would be the 4th seed had the team not
been blown up. We were good enough for at least a second
round exit! I'll see you at the DRAFT so you can see
how FAT my ASS is.

@ LIVES,

I don't believe the CELTICS will lose
one game during their run to the Chip
this year! Rivers is razor sharp and resting
Pierce, Allen and KG. However, with a much
improved bench ( Add Mikki Moore & Marbury)
to Eddie House and Company on the Bench and
this Celtic team is going to be untouchable
throughout the Playoffs! The Cav's will get swept
by the Celtic, and I can't Fucking stand Boston,
but I see exactly where their going.

Wow!! Are the Knicks Relevant? Will the lottery pick influence the performance of the team in 2010?

My lottery pick for the Knicks, (w/ Marketing in mind)

Rubio--Smart, Heady, high basketball IQ. Member of basketball’s Mensa group. Will think for the other players on the team. Will comprehend D’Antoni’s system after one practice. He can be the NBA’s new version of Steve Nash. With an international playmaker in New York, the world coverage would be off the hook. Ceiling--Steve Nash, Floor--Luke Ridnour, Most Likely--White Chocolate,

Hansbrough---Smart, heady will provide energy off the bench. Will do the little things that do not show in the box score. Hard worker will set an example for some of the lazy guys on the team. Fans will appreciate his hustle. Ceiling--Larry Bird, Floor--David Lee, Most Likely---Mark Madsen

Nick Calathes--Smart, Heady intelligent point guard. Has great size and has been coached by a New Yorker (Billy Donovan). Snow-birds in Florida are familiar with the young man and would spread the word to New York relatives to get out and see his game. Ceiling---Danny Ainge, Floor---Adam Morrison, Most Likely---any guy at end of Utah’s bench.

BJ-Mullens--Has good size, and shooting touch. Big man with soft-touch from outside. Moves well and has a Euro-style game to play in D’Antoni’s system. Brad Lohaus in his prime. Did I forget he has a high basketball IQ. Ceiling--Dirk, Floor--Nick Collison, Most Likely--Raef Lafrenze

Notes--Those missing Crawful, see Don Nelson, Scot Skiles, Larry Brown. Only Isiah,& ‘Lives’ believe this guy could lead you.

Peace & Blessings

The Clips currently are positioned for the 3rd pick
in the Lotto. However, with the below lineup, the Addition
of either Griffin or Curry in the draft would make this
team a serious threat to the entire NBA. Note the
4 former Knicks, and Gordan should have been a
Knick! Until we get rid of Walsh & D'Antoni, we
will suck and the MSM will keep waxing Walsh
and D'Antoni's carrot! I'd take the Clips whole
team over anything Walsh and NO D put together
the next two years!

Marcus Camby
Mardy Collins
Baron Davis
Ricky Davis
Eric Gordon
Fred Jones
DeAndre Jordan
Chris Kaman
Steve Novak
Zach Randolph
Brian Skinner
Mike Taylor
Al Thornton
